Climbing the Seven Summits, LLC (“Climbing the Seven Summits”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the information you share with us when you access and/or use our website, applications, products, events, services and other offerings (Services). This policy describes how we collect, use and share the personally identifiable information (PII), which includes sensitive information like your health, financial, identification, and travel information, that you provide to us when you register or contract with us to receive Services. This policy may be supplemented by additional privacy terms or notices disclosed to you in connection with your registration for or receipt of Services.

Information Collected:

We may collect PII and/or anonymous information from you in the course of your use of the Services. That includes information you provide to us when you subscribe or register for any of our digital, in-person or printed products, services, events, or offerings; sign up for newsletters or promotions; participate in a survey; purchase a product or service; use of our future mobile application; post comments; and/or otherwise communicate with us or interact with the Services. We may collect health information from you in the course of your use of the Services. The health information we may collect from you is individually identifiable health information which relates to your past, present or future physical or mental health or condition, the provision of health care to you, or your past, present or future payment for the provision of health care. To purchase certain services from us, you must provide contact information and financial information, including banking information, credit card number and credit card expiration date. This information is used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we’ll use this information to contact you.

We may collect travel information from you. This includes your passport number, visa information, driver’s license number, TSA number, citizenship, date of birth, gender, frequent flyer miles, travel preferences, trip/meeting preferences and other information.

Medical information submitted as part of our application or registration process is collected solely for expedition safety, risk assessment, and emergency preparedness purposes. This information is provided voluntarily by participants and is used to support informed decision-making related to participation in high-altitude and remote expeditions.

Once you have registered or otherwise interacted with us, we may create a profile for you. We keep your profile up to date by adding information about your registrations or subscriptions, the events you attend, the content you access, how you interact with our offerings, and the like. We also may receive information about you from external sources that are not affiliated with Climbing the Seven Summits and add that to the information you have provided to us. For example, we may expand our Services by acquiring names and contact details from other sources that compile contact information. This information might be public information or data you provided to others with authorizations to share it with third parties.

Automated Collection Technologies:

Like most website operators, we use cookies (small data files stored on your computer by your web browser upon visiting a website) to operate our Services efficiently and as intended. Through these technologies we gather information about you, such as your browser type, operating system, IP address, mobile device identification number, and navigation history.

Hotjar:

We use Hotjar to better understand how users interact with our website and to improve the user experience. Hotjar may collect information such as device type, browser information, geographic location (country only), and behavioral data including clicks, scrolling, and navigation patterns. Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymized user profile and does not collect personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, or payment information.

Meta (Facebook) Pixel:

We use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, understand actions users take on our website, and help deliver relevant advertisements on Meta platforms. The Meta Pixel may collect information about your interactions with our website and may associate this data with your Meta account in accordance with Meta’s data use policies.

Climbing the Seven Summits contracts with other companies to provide certain services on our behalf, including customer service, credit card and billing processing, analytics, email deployment, and other business services. We share your PII with contracted guides, ground operators, logistical and field partners, and emergency or rescue responders as necessary to deliver the Services.

Mobile Devices:

Mobile marketing campaigns may involve your sending an email from your mobile device to Climbing the Seven Summits or a third-party campaign operator. Participation is voluntary. Information such as your phone number, service provider, and campaign interactions may be collected.

Correcting and Updating Your Information:

If you are a registered user, you may access and update your account information upon log-in. You may also request access to or deletion of your PII, subject to legal and operational requirements.

Security:

We use technical, physical, and administrative security measures to protect your information. While we take reasonable steps to safeguard data, we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the Internet.

Health and medical information is collected through secure, HIPAA-enabled form systems that utilize encrypted data transmission and access controls. Climbing the Seven Summits maintains a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with its form provider to support the secure handling of sensitive health information. Access to this data is limited to authorized personnel and may be shared with guides, medical staff, or emergency responders only when necessary for participant safety.

We may access and disclose PII to comply with applicable laws, legal processes, or to investigate suspected fraud or violations of our terms.
