Our Denali team is on the move! After making it to Talkeetna and meeting with the climbing rangers at Denali National Park, our team took another quick flight to the Kahiltna Glacier, where they established base camp. Last night, we received an update from our Denali lead guide, Dallas Glass, sharing that the team has moved well to 7,800-foot camp (Camp 1) and they have plans to move to 9,800-foot camp (Camp 2) tonight.

Here’s a peek at their tentative itinerary, which is always subject to change based on the mountain conditions:

  • Day 4: Move to Camp 1
  • Day 5: Carry to Kahiltna Pass to cache gear
  • Day 6: Move to Camp 2
  • Day 7: Back carry to Kahiltna Pass
  • Day 8: Carry to Windy Corner
  • Day 9: Move to 14,000-foot camp
  • Day 10: Back carry to Windy Corner
  • Day 11: Climb the headwall to the ridge, cache supplies at 16,000 feet
  • Day 12: Rest day
  • Day 13: Move to High Camp at 17,200 feet
  • Day 14: Rest day
  • Day 15: Summit day
