Khumbu Icefall Opens, Sherpa Team Establishes Camps 1 & 2

Our Everest climbers are still on their second rotation on Mera Peak. Today, they moved to high camp, where they will spend 3-4 nights. This will constitute their second full high-altitude rotation (after climbing Lobuche Peak) and position them perfectly to take advantage of the newly opened route on Everest upon their return to Base Camp, avoiding the crowds rushing to complete their first and second rotations.

Meanwhile, on Everest, our incredible Sherpa team helped establish the route to Camps 1 and 2 under the leadership of the Icefall Doctors. After securing Camp 2, the team descended back to Base Camp in good time.

A huge round of applause to both our Sherpa and climbing teams for their strength, commitment, and adaptability when needed, setting the team up for success.
