A busy day in the air above Antarctica today.

Our first team have flown out and landed safely back in Punta Arenas. They’ll be lapping up the luxury of being in a far more temperate climate and the wonders of ducted heating in the hotel. Here’s a few photos of their adventure. More to follow.

Meanwhile our second Vinson team with Guide Mike Hamill flew onto the ice today. They had a super quick turn around at Union Glacier before making the most of the cooperative weather and jumping over to Vinson Base Camp on the ski planes.

Our Last Degree Skiers are progressing really well and it looks like a NYE arrival to the South Pole! Last update they were at 89 31.496 so getting close now! They’ll hit the South Pole before coming over to climb Vinson.

It’s going to be a great way to welcome in 2022!!

Cheers
